Needing a modern refresh for your home office? Take inspiration from the trendy “that girl” aesthetic.
Learn how to add character to your home in this styling series inspired much by stylists of social media, who create a character and exercise their creativity through styling outfits that character may wear for different occasions.
But I am an interior designer after all, so I am curious as to how imagined characters might live in and style their space. And how we can develop a style translated through our homes that speaks to our personality. As much as this is an exercise in styling- this is a series focused on imaginative play and dress-up, not with clothes but with interiors.
And of course I link all the Design Finds in the process.
A Style of One’s Own
This character is inspired by the hustling woman working in a big city or from home. Modern luxury meets colorful trendy accents. A home office to meets deadlines in comfort, with ergonomic considerations.
1. Neon Accented Office
This styled office keeps it neutral with its ivory cream colored furniture, bold marks of black in the carpet- while adding accents of acrylic laptop stands with a pop of neon pink, that carries over to the wall art.
2. Zen Workspace
A zen home office to keep you in the work mindset. Soothing earth tones and wood touches throughout. A modern green rug anchors the space as a work zone. And a series of trendy floral wall art adds a touch of femineity.
3. A Funky Desk Area
An office space to get you in the groove for a work day. Pops of orange and pinks found in the office decor brighten up an otherwise neutral workspace.
