Scorpios are independent trail blazers, known for being mysterious, seductive, and aren’t afraid of being themselves. They need a comfortable place to express themselves and get out of their shell. In this blog post we cover what a Scorpio should consider when designing their home.

First off, we know Scorpio to be caught up in their feelings. Others may find them intriguing and are drawn to their mysteriousness and passion. This is not to say it’s a weakness, but design can help these star signs to help express their emotions.

Start off by drenching your spaces with moody colors, rich reds, burnt orange, dark blues and deep purples. The intense colors match Scorpio’s intensity quite well, and help others understand your personality too.

Go for deep lounging couches with plenty of throw pillows and blankets inviting others to stay. Match your mood with your lighting choices, focusing on ambient lighting like candelabras and accent lamps.

Scorpio often comes across as having a tough outer shell, as they stay cautious of who they invite into their own little world. Ways to explore this trait is to play with contrasts of materials and textures. For example, having solid furniture pieces made of wood or metal, and adding velvet curtains or silky throws in contrast.

They also can work on expressing themselves through their choice of artwork. These pieces can ambiguous or expressive in nature, but will help clue others in on how they feel.

These star signs are very good at staying true to themselves and can sniff out ingenuine people in a heartbeat. A great way to translate this is through the use of furniture and decor that put raw materials on display, like this simple wood cabinet or these tortoise shell frames. Another way is to curate authentic vintage goods like this side table.

A Scorpio’s biggest struggle is processing emotions, but interior design can be a great way to accomplish this in a creative way. Some design styles worth looking into: Gothic Victorian, Brutalism, and Arts and Crafts Movement. The concepts behind these styles can teach the star sign expression and focus on authenticity within their interiors.

And as we know Scorpio’s all full of passion- never do anything halfway. Scorpio should check out our REFRESH service to deep dive into fully transform their spaces.
