At The Curative Company, we understand the importance of your space. Rather than just making places look good, we focus on designing spaces that cater to the unique needs and enjoyment of the people who will use them.

We’ve studied design analytics, foundations, schematics, and building partnerships. We specialize in residential design because we believe that a well-designed space that meets your personal needs can greatly impact your life. Throughout the process, we maintain an efficient and effective design flow, ensuring design quality, budget adherence, timely completion, and a positive experience. Regardless of whether you have worked with a professional designer before, our virtual process can be tailored to your specific project requirements.

Each phase of the process is aimed at maintaining design integrity, optimizing budget and timeline, and ensuring a satisfying experience. There are the 4 main steps to our virtual interior design process:

  1. PROGRAMMING

When you select and purchase your service, we will collaborate to create a detailed plan and intention for your new space. We will discuss your requirements, preferences, and the overall style you desire. If you have any pictures or ideas from sources like AD or Pinterest, we will review them and explore ways to incorporate them into the design. We will also analyze other factors such as views, sunlight, and special needs, and discuss timelines and budget constraints.

2. SCHEMATIC DESIGN

During the initial design phase, we communicate with you and refer to up to date research and trends. We offer various floor plans for you to select, considering elements like room types and sizes, user types, and the overall functionality of your home.

3. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Once we establish a space plan you like, we then get to work on developing additional detail and elevation drawings, renderings, and other specifications the space may require. This is the point in which we develop a comprehensive list of finishes, fixtures, and furniture.

4. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS

During the contract document phase, architectural and design drawing specs are completed to ensure the design integrity over the life of your project. The package you get may include building elevations and sections, floor plans, finish specifications based on our services. There will also be an specifications document that outlines all the materials, finishes, and installation methods. These documents are what you, the client, will use post-service.
